The Capcir high plateau offers you an exceptional discovery territory at the very heart of the Catalonia Pyrenean Regional Natural Park. Those who like to dream will come there to breathe the pure air while admiring the landscape spreading before them at the turn of every path. While those who prefer to play will glide down the slopes of the Nordic Park at top speed on a luge or a pair of skis. Nordic France labelled site (4 Nordics).

Piste Info

13 cross-country skiing loops, several marked out snowshoeing trails, 1 sled dog trail, 2 Nordic Parks (luge, initiationworkshop, Boarder Cross, freestyle zone), snow kyte zone, 2 refuges with warden right in the middle of the pistes. Reception bureau at the pistes starting point with snack-bar, heated picnic room and refreshment stall - snowshoe and ski rental.

Children

Snow kid's garden at the la Quillane / Calvet and lose/Calvera domains: games, luge, initiation area and freestyle area (2 day cares and 2 outdoor centres in the neighbourhood).

Other activities

Come and discover many different Nordic activities : biathlon, sled dogs, ski jeering, horseback hikes surrounded by snow-covered landscapes, snowkite, snowshoe outings, luge.
In the neighbourhood: Montlouis with its UNESCO World Heritage citadel and its solar furnace, the Fontrabiouse grotto, the yellow train and natural hot water baths.

Main events

December, 21st : New, the Nordic skiing festival (cross-country, freestyle, sled dogs, biathlon... ) in La Quillane. Many activities to be discovered for free.
January, 11th: Marxa Fontanera Cross-country skiing race.
February 8th : The Capcir crossing, going from Les Angles to La Quillane for 30 km, 15 km, 5 km and family race.

Access

Road : from Perpignan, RN116 , 80 km (1 h 30) - from Toulouse RN20 , 170 km ( 2h30)- from carcassonne D118 , 90 km (1h30).
Railway station: Mont-Louis/La Cabanasse at 10 km - Shuttle at the arrival of main line trains to the villages.
Airport : Perpignan.
