An ever closer to nature resort... From the pistes design to the ultra-modern equipments, everything in Gourette has been thought out for everyone to be at the heart of a quality mountain environment... The most recent fittings help to that : reforestation, new planting of local species, different types of pines, new sawing of grass seed on the pistes... one of the first resort to be ISO 140001/Environmental Management Systems certified.
New in 2009:
* Le Portillo residence: 60 four-stars flats (private indoor swimming pool with children pool, Jacuzzi, fitness room, lounge with fireplace, games room, laundry room and underground park place).
* Belembra VVF club offering 160 living spaces entirely refurbished and redecorated facing South.
* Creation of Le Serpentin green piste with warranted snow cover, that links the Bezou plateau with the La Balade piste.
* 10 devices for automatically provoking avalanches (Gazex) installed on the Péne-Médaa massif and in the Péne-Blanque sector, for a greater security on the skiing domain.

28 pistes -15 lifts including 7 teleported lifts and 3 magic carpets - 150 snow guns - boardercross - snow-park - 1 high altitude restaurant - evolution sector in Bézou : 7 hectares, 3 magic carpets, accessed by a 10-person telecabin. ESF and heated picnic room.

Handiski

1 ½ hour outing in a wheel chair to discover the ski domain, with an E.S.F. certified instructor.

Children

Nursery/day care for children (from 5 months to 6 years old) open every day from 9 am to 5:20 pm.
Piou Piou Club: Kid'sgarden on the slopes( from 3 to 5 years old), playful learning of skiing in an specially designed area with the ESF ski school

Other activities

Fitness: Bubble bath, jet shower, swimming pool and sauna at the Les Eaux Bonnes thermal center. Shuttle between resort and thermal bath.
1 luge piste - marked out snowshoeing trails - guided snowshoe outings - welcoming drink - historical guided visit of the resort- meeting with a shepherd - health circuit - activity room/play room - disco - cinema.

Main events

December 13th 2008 : "Do slide", ski, sound and snowboard. For young people 12/25 years, 50 % on ski pass and material rent. Music, freeride and jump demonstrations, downhill mountain bike .
January, 31st - February, 1st: Telemark Discovery Week-end and 2009 edition of the "Telemark Pyreneen" contest.
March : French Championship, secondary school (march 15-18th), high school (march 18-20 th).
March, 29th: "Pyrenea Triathlon": a foot, bike and mountain skiing race.
April, 5th: "La Gourettoise": a ski and mountaineering race

Access

2 mobile home parks with Eurorelais terminals. : 30 spots in the resort and 30 spots at 1.5 km. Winter caravanning park at 1.5 km.
